Responder® IV/Tracer™ IV Equipment and Staff Locating
The integrated Responder® IV/Tracer™ IV system allows hospital personnel to quickly, easily and quietly identify the precise location of a particular staff member or piece of equipment without disrupting patients unnecessarily with overhead pages.
Using a small lightweight transmitter that clips onto a shirt or jacket much like a badge, the Tracer IV system is able to locate a particular staff member until he or she logs off of the Responder system. Upon entering the room of a patient who has called for help, the Tracer IV system automatically cancels any non-emergency calls and registers the staff member in the room.
The system functions similarly for equipment location identification. In addition to reducing the amount of time personnel spend looking for equipment, Tracer IV also saves healthcare facilities money by acting as a theft deterrent.
